Allright, you've spent all that time and effort creating a lovely quilt - now it's time to get it quilted so you or someone else can enjoy it! Get those unfinished quilt tops completed so you can enjoy the oohs and aahs from friends and family when they see what you have accomplished. This offer is for longarm machine quilting of an edge-to-edge allover design on your quilt. It includes cotton or poly cotton batting of the appropriate size, you may choose which type you prefer. You may select one from several available designs shown here, which will be repeated over the surface of the quilt. This offer does not include quilting of Tshirt quilts, velour or other irregular fabrics. I will choose a coordinating or contrasting thread per you preference. I use top-quality Superior and Signature brand threads. Specialty, metallic, or variegated threads may be chosen for an extra charge. You will provide the quilt top and backing. Here's what you do: 1: You purchase and pay for this service. 2: I contact you to discuss any the process with you. 3: You prepare your quilt top and backing. Use regular quilting cotton or backing of the same weight as the quilt top, not bed sheets or apparel, drapery or upholstery fabrics. Make sure that the backing is in one continuous piece and that is measures 4 inches larger then the quilt all the way around. If you don't have suitable backing fabric, I have several in stock at all times from which you can choose for an extra cost. Most backing fabrics are $12.99 to $14.99 per yard. DO NOT baste or pin the quilt top and backing fabric together, they are loaded separately onto the quilting machine. 4: Trim all loose threads and press the quilt well. Square the quilt top as well as possible and the backing fabric. There will be additional charges for trimming, pressing and squaring if I need to do it for you. 5. Wrap the quilt well in weatherproof packaging and send to me. Plastic trash bags with drawstrings work well for this purpose. I will remove it from the packaging as soon as I receive it. We strongly suggest insuring your package to provide compensation against loss or damage in shipping. Include your name, address, and telephone number inside the package. 6. I will notify you when I receive the quilt, discuss any items that may need clarification, and let you know approximately it will be finished. I then complete the quilting and return it to you. Quilt will be returned by USPS or UPS and insured at a value of up to $200. Any additional insurance requested will be charged to you. |
